Junior Football fixtures include mention of Dr Crokes, Rathmore, Milltown and Headford, but there were no account of matches being played, the deaths of Neil O'Leary(Headford) and Dick Fitzgerald cast gloom over the Eat Kerry G.A.A.

Dr Crokes
In April an East Kerry Board meeting, fortified by presence of the County Board Secretary, who presided, decided to play the Junior Football by knockout system. Six teams appeared to be likely to compete. Crokes were praised at their AGM - They may have won it.

Legion claim to have won it - "Legion of Memories"

Castlemaine defeated Legion in an East Kerry Junior Final played in Killorgin

Twelve teams entered. Legion beat Dr Crokes in the final of the Junior Football - "Legion of Memories" pg.24

Listry
9 Junior Football Teams: Castlemaine, Keel, Killorglin, Listry, Dr. Crokes Headford, Kenmare, Legion, Rathmore (Rovers). Listry defeated Kenmare in the Final in February 1937.

Listry won the East Kerry Junior Football League, defeating Rathmore Rovers 1-02 to 0-02 in Fitzgerald Stadium on 13th March 1938 - "Aililiú Rathmore", pg. 171

It Seems to have been a quiete year in East Kerry football although, in january, there were said to be 10 junior teams, but unlikely the competition was played in full.

Rathmore
In early Spring of 1940, on a snowy day, Rathmore and Keel were to play Junior Football Final at Milltown but only Rathmore put in an appearance. Later Rathmore were awarded title.

Lissivigeen
Lissivigeen beat Kilcummin Wolfe Tones in the East Kerry Junior Football Final, played at Fitzgerald Stadium in February 1942.

Although Headford (Neil O'Leary's) played 5 matches and qualified for a Killarney Area Final versus Currow, it is unlikely the East Kerry Junior Football competition was ever concluded.

Dr Crokes
Crokes defeated Currow by a point in the final played in November ("Dr Crokes Gaelic Century", p.g. 125). It seems Currow were hot favorites to take the title.

Firies
There were 15 Junior Football teams in group A, B, C. On the 23 December, in Killarney, Firies defeated Rathmore 1-03 to 0-04, in the final

In the semi-finals of the Junior Football, Listry defeated Castlemaine and rathmore defeated Firies by 2 points. But the final was probably not played

O'Leary's and Flesk
O'Leary's and Flesk won the Junior Football competition in 1947 - "The Kerry Champion" report 24 January 1948.

Spa
Spa defeated Dr. Crokes 3-04 to 1-01 in the East Kerry Junior Football Final played in Fitzgerald Stadium on 7th November. The same day O'Leary's and Flesk defeated Dr Crokes 3-03 to 1-05 in the E.K. Senior Final.

Dr Crokes 3-05 defeated Dr. Dinneens 0-02 in the Junior Football Final on 20th November.

Rathmore
Rathmore (St Joesph's) and Glenflesk reached the final of the Junior Football League. Rathmore emerged as the title winners but there is no account of the final being played.

Spa
In the East Kerry Junior Football final, Spa played a 2-03 draw with Kilcummin before winning the replay 1-03 to 0-02. The standard of play in this competition received high praise.

Legion
Legion and Spa qualified for the East Kerry Junior Football Final. Legion are reputed to have won this Junior Football title but this final does not receive attention in the club histories of Legion and Spa

Ballyhar won the East Kerry Junior Football competition, defeating Glenflesk(St. Agatha's) in the final.

Dr Crokes 2-05 defeated St Agatha's 2-03 in the Junior Football final. Ten teams entered the competition.

St. Agatha's defeated Spa in the final. The final score 2-05 to 2-03 - "Glimpses from the Glen",p.g. 46
