Eligibility for this Cup is governed by Rule 7 of the official East Kerry Board by-laws: 7.(A) The O'Sullivan Cup shall be confined to teams playing in Div. 3 and lower of the Co. League and "B" teams of clubs in Div.1 & 2 of the Co. League. 7.(B) The "B" player is defined as any player properly registered by the board who was not on the first fifteen of the Club's last O'Donoghue Cup game in the previous year.

Cup & Presentation

Vincent and Gerard Murphy Castleisland (Vincent Murphy's Sport Shop), for cleaning and engraving the cup. Jimmy and David O'Brien (O'Brien's Pub) for getting the 26 medals for the presentation case. Also a special thanks to Jeremiah O' Sullivan (Metal Work teacher & Nephew of Owen O'Sullivan) who did a splendid job on the centrepiece.
I would also like to make a special mention of Donal Daly and Seamus Moynihan, who gave unselfishly of their busy time and added a touch of class to the presentation night's proceedings. Lastly, the other two people who stood in for the photo Ger Galvin (Chairman EKB), and Jerry Foley a friend of Owen O'Sullivan, an active Firies GAA man , and a true gentleman and scholar.
