History of the Cup

The Owen O'Sullivan Cup has been presented to the winners of the East Kerry Junior Championship each year since it's dedication in 1975. The O'Sullivan Cup is sponsored again this year by Mike Moriarty of Central Car Sales, Farranfore. Previously from 1975-2003 it was sponsored by Killarney Oils.

Mr. Jimmy Keane chairman of Firies G.A.A. presented the Owen O'Sullivan Perpetual Cup to Mr. Brendan Walsh, chairman of the East Kerry Board on Tuesday the 11th February 1975 at the Park Place Hotel, Killarney. In attendance were other East Kerry club representatives.
