CURROW 3-5 CORDAL 1-5

IN A close sporting O'Sullivan Cup final at The 'Park on Sunday, Currow footballers turned in a most impressive performance to defeat near neighbours" Cordal by 3-5 to 1-5. Playing with, the aid of the breeze in the opening half the winners were always in the hunt and enjoyed, an Interval lead of 2-4. to 0-1. When, Currow added a further goal after the turnover the game was more or less over as a contest and despite the fact, that Mossy Dore had a Cordal goal midway through this half the issue was never in doubt to the finish.

The O'Sullivan Cup was presented to Currow captain, Hugh O'Connor by Dee Ferriss, East Kerry Board Secretary, who also presented the man of the match award to Currow, midfielder, Timmy Brosnan.

Overall, it was an outstanding performance by the team and was a just reward for the effort put in by trainer, Dan O'Sullivan, and selectors Paddy O'Sullivan, Thomas Murphy and Johnny Brosnan.
